Being in a Relationsship

It can be scary to open up about HAE to anyone who is not a patient, especially to people who are really important to us. You can often think “Will they understand? Will they be there for me? Will they accept this part of me?

People who don’t have HAE are often more scared than us because they don’t know how to react or what to do when an attack comes on. Sometimes they don’t realize the severity of an attack, until they see one happen.

This can be quite a shock if you don’t know much about it!

That is why, it’s important to take the time to explain HAE to your partner.

We have a couple of blogs that collect tips and tricks on how to talk to your partner about HAE, have a look and we hope you find them helpful!

We would also love to hear from you! Send us an email and let us know how did you talk about HAE in your relationship?
