and join them on their HAEi LEAP journey!
HAEi LEAP 2023 started with a 2-day in-person seminar on 31 March and 1 April 2023 in Dubai! This page will give you a chance to follow along with the class and have a look at some of their experiences as they go through HAEi LEAP.
The Class of 2023 have presented their final project presentations, and they were amazing!
We are so happy to see our students use everything they have learned from LEAP and implement it into their presentations. We are really looking forward to seeing how the projects come to life in the next months! Here is a glimpse at some of their work.
HAEi LEAP’s 2-day in-person seminar took place on 31 March and 1 April in Dubai, UAE.
20 young people from 15 countries traveled to Dubai for the official start of the LEAP education program and to meet their classmates. The in-person seminar covered various topics to support our LEAP students with skills to help them in life and develop their projects before heading to work with their Member Organizations.
The Class of 2023 started with HAEi Leadership welcoming our LEAP students, sharing HAEi’s story, and highlighting the power of advocacy as a force to change the world.
Nevena and Debs, the HAEi LEAP team, delivered the training program filled with learning sessions, group work, networking, and fun.
Next for our students is the online LEAP education via HAEi Advocacy Academy. We will unlock a new course for our students to explore each week, with homework assignments to practice their learning.
Meet Nevena
HAEi’s Operations Manager and Youngsters’ Community Coordinator
Nevena has a very outgoing personality and is a joy to be around -or at least that is what she says :). Nevena has been part of the HAEi family for six years and has been helping shape the HAEi Youngsters’ Community. Developing HAEi LEAP with the rest of the team has been a wonderful and exciting experience.
Nevena’s wish for everyone joining LEAP is to learn, connect with each other, and have fun!

Meet Debs
HAEi’s Chief, Special Projects and Research
Debs’ background is in science and communication, and she has a master’s degree in Chemistry – but don’t let that put you off! She loves helping people grow and develop and before working with HAEi, she was responsible for training the teams in the communications agencies she worked in. Debs has been a part of the HAEi family for over 10 years and is very proud to be in a team that helps to improve the situation for her HAE friends all around the world.
Helping take HAEi LEAP from idea to reality has been a real highlight. Debs hopes the LEAP Class of 23 make lasting friendships, learns new skills to help in life and advocacy – and has a great time doing it!
Debs once won a trophy for tap dancing and can still break into a timestep if needed.
