#togetherapart: Meet Facundo
With the #TogetherApart initiative we have collected fun photos, videos, boomerangs and stories from you of your social distancing days and more – so we can all be #TogetherApart.
Hi – I’m Facundo
I’m 22 years old
I’m a HAE patient
And I live in Argentina
I hope that HAE patients in the future:
have the tools to treat and prevent HAE crysis, while walking together this path.
The HAEi Youngsters’ Community is important because:
It lets us know that we are not alone. Provides support to young people around the world who understand what we live.
My favorite quote is:
"Many small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world" -Eduardo Galeano.
‘Creating a Path to Better Health’ means:
More tools to prevent and manage HAE crises.
This is my personal story:
During the 2017 summer camp (Frankfurt – Germany) I suffered a severe crisis that I tried to hide, forgetting that everyone around me once lived what I was living.
I retired so as not to alarm anyone, and the next thing I remember was my friends giving me medication. Being accompanied without explaining anything, made me feel the importance of community.
