#togetherapart: Meet Monalisa
With the #TogetherApart initiative we have collected fun photos, videos, boomerangs and stories from you of your social distancing days and more – so we can all be #TogetherApart.
Hi – I’m Monalisa
I’m 22 years old
I’m a HAE patient
And I live in Romania
I hope that HAE patients in the future:
Will be brave enough to take every challange which comes across their life.
The HAEi Youngsters’ Community is important because:
Keeps us close and the most important, informed especially these days.
My favorite quote is:
'Carpe Diem'
‘Creating a Path to Better Health’ means:
setting measurable and achievable action points in order to create the comfort and the safety that everyone should acquire.
This is my personal story:
Me feat. HAE: After I’ve been misdiagnosed a couple of times, in January 2017 I found out that I suffer from HAE. Since then I’ve learned how to live with this and how to make my family accept that even if this illness seems like a burden, you can get the most out of it. For example, in 2018 I had the opportunity to travel to Vienna for the HAEi Global Conference and meet great people around the world who with just a smile they confirmed me I am not alone. I try to keep a positive attitude regarding HAE and fight my fears with all the weapons.
Just me: I study Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, hopefully, this is the last year (if the coronavirus will allow it), I live at the countryside which is a blessing these days, and I am part of a big and happy family. This year in Frankfurt I was about to meet for the first time the Youngsters Community and I am looking forward to meeting you all next time!
Hugs from Romania! 🙂
