Pave the way

Draw inspiration for your project from our idea bank
When you apply, we will ask you to tell us a bit about the project that the young person and the HAE organization can work on together.
Based on the HAEi LEAP education program here are some ideas for projects youngsters can work on to support their Member Organizations.
Get onto Social Media
Help your organization get onto Social Media: Create a Facebook/ Instagram/ Twitter account, plan your content calendar, create engaging posts and increase your follower numbers.
If your organization already has social media accounts, you can plan and create a campaign to support its goals and activities.
For, example, a campaign to create awareness and demonstrate the power of advocacy that can be used on social media.

Capture and share personal stories from people with HAE
Help your organization capture and share personal stories from people with HAE in your country. Develop your questions, hold the interview and then edit the written content or video to go on your website. You may even be able to create the webpage as a series of blogs/articles.
Not sure who to interview? What about a feature series on advocates from your member organization and advocates from around the world (RPAs, HAEi Leadership, etc.)?

Meeting or event?
You can put your project management and presentation skills into practice by getting involved in delivering this. You can research the audience, develop or review the project plan, and develop or review presentations to help them effectively deliver your messages.
Educational module: Foundational
Youngsters community in your country?
HAEi LEAP will give you the skills to start your own Youngsters Community; create a logo, develop a webpage, think about planning a meeting, develop a newsletter, create resources (written or video) specifically for a youngster audience. There are lots of ideas for what this could look like or include on youngsers.haei.org

Materials to support your organization or members
Your project could be centered around creating a print/online media pack with background information about HAE, introduction letters, logo packs, etc., and getting introduced to other rare organizations in your country. Or, developing a brochure or video to support a particular aspect of living or supporting people with HAE, e.g., a caregiver brochure, or materials to help classmates understand HAE.
